The Classic OpenRules® is a general purpose Business Rules Management System (BRMS) developed in 2003. It allows subject matter experts and software developers to create, test, execute, and maintain decision models incorporated into enterprise-class decision-making applications.
The Classic OpenRules® BRMS has proven records being in real-world production environments for many major corporations. Many multi-year OpenRules customers continue to successfully use this Classic BRMS and OpenRules, Inc. will continue to support this product.
In 2019 OpenRules, Inc. developed a new product “OpenRules® Decision Manager” that uses decision models similar to the classic ones. However, this new product is essentially enhanced and optimized for cloud platforms that support millions of complex transactions per day more simply and efficiently than the Classic OpenRules®. So, we highly recommend Classic customers migrate to the latest OpenRules® Decision Manager and provide the migration help.
